After the tour, I stayed with my friend Lito Sibayan's estate in Woking, Surrey for a week. His daughter Mica is my god daughter. It just happens to be both of their birthdays that week.

London

Begun by William I (the Conqueror) soon after the Norman Conquest in 1066, this complex has served as a fortress, a royal palace, a treasury, an armory, and a menagerie, but it is best remembered as a prison.

The Sibayans residence was very close to Windsor Castle and naturally the first place to visit. Windsor Castle claims to be the largest inhabited castle in the world, and it's on a site that has been a home and burial place of English monarchs for more than 900 years. Nearby is Eton College, famous for attending classes in high collars and tails. The best way to see the town is to take a double decked bus tour.

Stonehenge,on the Salisbury Plain, built in stages between 5,000 and 3,000 years ago. It is still a mystery to date. It's not known whether it was used as a temple or an astronomical calendar. Our first "contact" perhaps or where the concept of "X-files" was first conceived.

Bath was founded by the Romans in A.D. 43, and is set upon the River Avon. The Romans constructed an impressive complex with a great lead-lined hot bath, other smaller baths, cold plunges and special rest rooms with underfloor heating. An ancient sauna and massage parlor, in other words.
